Improving workers radiation protection - Bertin Instruments

    Improving workers radiation protection

Radiation exposure of workers needs to be checked in order to repect the WHO recommandations, with professional radiameters or survey meters able to face any working conditions.

Radiation exposure is a main concern for people working in nuclear industry, but also for scrap dealers, boarding controllers, employees working with radioactive sources in medical field or for first responders.

Work in a radioactive environment is defined according norms and follow the ALARA principle: the dose received by individuals should be as low as reasonably achievable. That’s why workers exposed to radioactivity have to check the dose rate at place, and respect the WHO international recommendations. Moreover the measurement of the dose rate by the workers needs to be done by professional instruments, with accurate sensors and very robust housings able to face any type of working conditions.
